California Living
I have lived in California for quite a while, moving here from Connecticut after my honorable discharge from the military. Although I lived in Connecticut for 11 years, I always dreamed of living somewhere else…where there is no snow and the winter doesn’t last 4 to 5 months. Moving to California was a dream come true and I have never regretted making the move.
California is right up my alley…warm days, pleasant winters, access to the beaches and the mountains, a laid back atmosphere and a liberal bastion mostly surrounded by conservative outposts. I have to admit though, that lately the “warm days” have turned into periods of blistering hot days that seem to last longer each year. There are many people that claim Climate Change is a hoax, I for one believe it to be true. I don’t know what else can cause the kind of weather we have been experiencing, not just in California but through out the country. This post is not about Climate Change however…it is my lament that having moved here for the great weather, I am looking forward to the “cool” days of autumn. I’m over the heat for now.
