Fred's Ramblings

Another day, another mass shooting. We have become so enured to mass shootings that we follow a pattern after each one.

Initially, there is grief, then outrage then a call for gun control and by the end of that week, it is all forgotten except for the occasional news story about the burial of those affected by the shootings. The politicians won’t do anything about gun control because they are themselves controlled by the gun lobby that finances their campaign. Until that chain is broken, nothing will happen regardless of what the constituents want. The politicians are not in office to do our bidding, they are in office to line their pockets.

Which brings up another topic…there should be term limits so that no politician can make a career out of politics, but that is something else that won’t happen. Why would any of them vote for a bill to curtail their ability to line their pockets? It is incumbent on the voter to concentrate on destroying this pattern. The voter has the power to stop this continual assault on America’s welfare. Think about this the next time you vote.

This great country is fast becoming the laughing stock of the world and though we were once looked up to, we are now being pitied by just about every country in the world. Wake up America before it is too late.
