The Tournament for 2014 will start on March 20th and the picks will be due no later than 9 PM (PDT) on Wednesday March 19, 2014. The entry fee is $20 for the regular 64 team tournament and $10 for the Sweet 16 Pool. The poolmeister plays in both pools at no cost. All entry fees must be received by March 2, 2014.
In both pools, all games must be picked in advance of the tournament, with each round having values as follows: Rnd 1 = 1, Rnd 2 = 2, Rnd 3 = 4, Rnd 4 = 8, Rnd 5 = 16, and the Championship Game = 32. The total possible points you can earn for the 64 team tournament is 192. The total possible points you can earn for the Sweet 16 Pool is 128. The rounds for the Sweet 16 pool have the following values: Rnd 1 = 4, Rnd 2 = 8, Rnd 3 = 16, and the Championship Game = 32.
The payouts are dependent on how many players are playing. The total points in the championship game are used as the tiebreaker for both pools. If still tied, the pot will be evenly distributed among the applicable players. |
